!EMMIGRATION: ABT 1763 from Highlands of Scotland, from Loch Lomand, according to John Allen McMorris. Settled in Leesburg, Lounoun Co., Virginia.

!MILITARY: served seven tours of duty in the Revolutionary War. His first military service was as a Private in the Bucks County Associators (Pennsylvania), 1775-1776.

!RESIDENCE: on both his military Certificates, Newtown Township, Pennsylvania is given as his home.

!RESIDENCE: David McMorris is listed in the bood, Virginia Taxpayers 1782-1787, Other Than Those Published by the United States Census Bureau, by Augusta B. Fothergill and John Mark Naugle, as living in Loudoun Co., Virginia in 1782.
