David F. Jones, one of Valparaiso's most respected citizens, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 10:30 o'clock at his home on North Washington street. The funeral took place from the Christian church, of which he was an ardent supporter, at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, under the conduct of the Masonic fratenity.

The deceased was born in Fayette county, Ohio, July 21, 1821. He came to Porter county in 1846, and became a resident of Valparaiso in 1852.
