78.1 DAVID BRIGHTHe was born in 1775 in Maryland. The family moved to Pennsylvania in 1781 and to Ohio in 1808. On 12 April 1808 in Muskingum Co., Ohio, he married AMEY STENISE (8: ). She was born in New York state in 1784. David was a farmer and purchased land at the federal land office in Zanesville, Ohio, on 1 Oct. 1816 (in R10, T4, S20) (16:2). They moved to Fallsbury Township, Licking Co., Ohio, in 1818, along with the Van Winkle families. (See chapter 6) (1:418; 17:12) They had 4 children (10:1):.1 LEWIS, 1814-?.2 ANTHONY, 1817-?.3 ELIZABETH, 1830-?.4 AMOS, 1832-?David is mentioned in his father's will in 1817 as "my son" and is given $1 (5:1). On 16 Nov. 1829 in Knox Co., David Bright and his mother, Nancy Bright, sold their land in R10 T4 S21 for $300. In 1850 they were still living in Licking County.(10:1)
