West Virginia Marriage Records, 1863-1900 Name: David D. Arnold Spouse: Virginia Dye Marriage Date: 26 Dec 1869 County: Wirt State: WV

David's 1869 marriage record says he was born in Wirt County, WV. But in 1848 when he was born Wirt County had not been formed and the area where he was born was still Jackson County. Wirt County was formed in 1848 from Wood and Jackson Counties.

The Wirt County, West Virginia Death Certificate says this father was Benjamin Arnold and his mother was a Jackson. His wife, Mrs. Virginia Arnold of Burning Springs, West Virginia was the informant. His tombstone has the years 1847-1925 though his death certificate gives a birth date of 30 Mar 1848. See photo of tombstone here: http://wirtcounty.net/Cemeteries/Beaty%20Cemetery%20Main.htm#39191. That site also has the death certificate but it is not as clearly legible as the shown here: http://www.wvculture.org/vrr/va_view.aspx?Id=428554&Type=Death.
