Services Held Wednesday for Darwein Andersen Darwin Arthur Andersen, 23, Rockland, Idaho, passed away at Power County Hospital in American Falls, Sept 24th, following a long illness. He was born May 25, 1944, in American Falls, a son of Arthur E. and Lucille Clausen Andersen. He graduated from Rockland High School in 1962 where he was active in Basketball, football and band. He attended school for artificial insemination in Gary, Illinois, graduating in 1963. He was interested in dairy promotion for Power and Bannock counties, and enjoyed training saddle horses. He raised sheep and dairy cows with his father. He was a confirmed member of St. John's Lutheran Church in American Falls. Survivors include his parents, Rockland, Idaho; two brothers, Kenndeth D. Andersen, Tacoma, Wash., and Steven N. Andersen, Rockland, Idaho; four sisters Mrs Ivan C (Esther) Hopkins, Shoshone, Idaho; Mrs Robert F. (Dwen) Jones, Nampa, Idaho; Miss Sharon Andersen, attending the University of Idaho at Moscow, Idaho; and Miss Nancy Andersen, Rockland, Idaho. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday Sept 27 at 2 pm from St Johns Lutheran Church in American Falls, with Rev Norman O. Landvik officiating. Burial was in Valleyview Cemetary at Rockland, under the direction of Davis Mortuary. Casket bearers were: George Barrett, Marvin Schritter, Ralph Barrett, Darold Schumacher, Melvin Schritter, And Dennis Schumacher.

Brother Kenneth says obituary is wrong in that they would never had allowed a sheep on the property. (1979)
