Daniel Wilcoxson (Willcockson, Wilcoxon, Wilcoxen, Willcocks, Wilcocks, Wilcox), who married Sarah “Sally” Faulconer, was born on 13 March 1755 in Rowan County, North Carolina, and died on 16 June 1837 in Shelby County, Kentucky. He was a son of John Willcockson and Sarah Boone, who moved from Berks County, Pennsylvania, to Rowan County, North Carolina. Daniel came to Kentucky in 1775 from North Carolina and settled at Boonesborough with his uncle Daniel Boone. He served there and at Bryan Station during the Revolution. Daniel Wilcoxson and Sally Faulconer were married in October 1780 at Bryan Station in the part of Kentucky County, Virginia, that became Fayette County, later that year.
