"Our Revelutionary Fathers" records secured by S.C.D.A.R. Vol.2: Daniel Quin born Granville Co.,N.C. 1758, died in York, S.C. 1844-married Mary MORGAN. He enlisted during Snow Camps at the time of the battle of Briar Creek and served three months,as private under Col.Wofford and Hammond three months under Capt. James Ferrell and Major John Thomas three months under Major Hannah, three months as teamster and three months as private under Major Jas. Wallace. He was engaged in the battles of Stono and Friday's Fort. He applied for pension from York District S.C. Oct. 17, 1832, which claim was allowed. This Daniel is a brother to Peter Quin that married Judith Robinson and the son of Hugh Quin and Margaret Fondren. [email protected] children: Margaret m. Joseph Camp & William Camp.
