Daniel D. Comstock graduated from the American Medical Missionary College (Battle Creek, Michigan) in 1906, and became one of the earliest faculty of the College of Medical Evangelists (later known as Loma Linda University) in 1912, when the first class came to Los Angeles for clinical experience. He proved an able teacher, administrator, and a great judge of local medical talent, which he used to recruit for a very strong, effective teaching faculty.
