From Hempstead's Diary:
- Sunday, June 12, 1720. I was on Jry of inquest upon ye Indian which died last night of ye wound he rec'd of Daniel Ashcraft on Thursday last on his forehead with a stone.
- Friday, Sept 10. Daniel Ashcraft brought in not guilty.

24 Oct 1737: Sold 120 A. to James Dean in Wrightstown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
- [Note: No record has been located of Daniel purchasing the land he later sold.]
7 Jan 1738: Daniel witnessed the will of Mary Strawhan of Bethlehem (though he was still living in Bucks County).
