Delia Collins would have been born around 1865 and the suspicion is that she was born in NSW which led to the entry in the NSW Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages which has her being born in 1866 in Redfern, to Joseph and Bridget Collins. The only death entry for a Delia Locke in indexes lists her parents as Joseph and Delia. As with many death certificates there may be an error in entering her mothers name for many reasons.

Delia married Arthur John Locke in 1885 and they appear to have had only one child. When Mary Ann Bentley (nee Collins) passed away in 1894 a newspaper announcement invited the friends of Arthur John Locke, a cousin to attend the funeral. At this point in history it was common place to only list the husband's name and not the wife and considering the Collins connection it would appear that Delia is actually the cousin and not her husband.
