Obituary of Dale A. Wolfe. Dale Arthur (Tony), son of Ethel Arrasmith and Edward William Wolfe, was born July 16, 1915 in Dale City, Iowa and passed away at his home in Stuart, Iowa on September 14, 1976. He was united in marriage to Wilma Louise Knapp and four children were born to this union. For a number of years Tony farmed and then entered the contracting business in Stuart. He also served as an assessor for Guthrie County. Tony was a hard worker and devoted family man, having a great love for children and sports. As a member of the First Congregational Church, he served on the Board of Trustees. His other activities included the Stuart Lions Club and Odd Fellows Lodge. In 1970 he was united in marriage to Bernice Morton. Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers and an infant daughter, Cynthia Joy. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Bernice, two sons, Norman Gary of Stuart, Iowa and Melvin James of Marshalltown, Iowa; one daughter Judith Diane Kidwell of West Des Moines, Iowa; five sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Opal) Rosenkild, Fontana, California, Mrs. Elmer (Olive) Olsen, Omaha, Nebraska, Mrs. Theron (Doris) Templeton, Hartford, Iowa, Mrs. Marvin (Donna) Harshaw, Spokane, Washington, Mrs. George (Alice) Rohwer, Garwin, Iowa; four brothers, Edward of Homer, Alaska, Jack of Des Moines, Iowa, Robert of Stuart, Iowa and Albert Eugene of Omaha, Nebraska, thirteen grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
