Died while living with his daughter, Bertha Lee. The funeral was held at Metz Mortuary Chapel, York, Nebraska, but he was buried in Hilliard, Florida. Grew up in Michigan where his father was a doctor and ran a successful practice and apothecary, near Ransom. His father suffered from asthma, and this affected Cyrus's lifestyle in many ways, including having to saddle his father's horse for him, etc. Resident of Jacksonville, Florida at time of death.
