  3. Continuing the incredible string of confusing records surrounding the Pittsley family (discussed here), Cynthia has another marriage in 1865 (here) to John R. Ambler, nominally just 6 months before her marriage to Nathaniel Pittsley. No death record for John Ambler has been found, no census record in 1870, her name is still given as Cynthia Pittsley in the 2nd marriage. She and Nathaniel are found in the 1870 census with a 4 month old daughter. The explanation is not known.
