I, CORNELIUS RAPALYE, of Newtown, in Queens County, "being in reasonable health." All debts to be paid. I leave to my wife Aeltie the use of all my estate during her widowhood. But if she happens to marry, then she is to have only an equal share with my children. I leave to my son Joris £50. All the rest of my estate to my children, Joris, Daniel, Abraham, Cornelius, Angentie, Antie, and Jannettie. "After the death or marriage of my wife, all my whole estate is to be put up to sale to the highest bidder by my executors." I make my brothers, Daniel, Abraham, and Jacob Rapalye, and my brothers-in-law, Tunis Brinkerhoff and Hendrick Brinkerhoff, executors. Dated April 23, 1765.
