According to her obit, she was one of ten children born in the log cabin of Woolsey Pride Jr. in Jefferson Twp., Pike County, Indiana. She grew to womanhood in Jefferson Twp, and got her education in the common schools. She bore seven children to Joseph. Five of her children's names are listed in this record (from her obit), and the other two are known to be daughters; one married Mr. Ralph Bixler of Washington (State or DC?), and the other married Ollie Chesser of Petersburg, Indiana. A posting by Jerry Pride on Ancestry.com states that Cordia is buried in the main cemetery in Petersburgh, IN.
