Corbin Climford Clarkson

C.C. Clarkson's family are Missouri pioneers since the 1800's. His family came from Kentucky and Virginia.
Corbin grew up in Protem, Missouri, and attended The School of The Ozarks, http://www.cofo.edu, when it was still a high school in The Ozark Mountains.
He was given a provided schooling by Mr. Leonard, who later gave him a job in a bottling plant on Southwest Blvd. , Kansas City Missouri.
Corbin is the Son of Homer Ralph Clarkson, born in 1896 and Essie May . Brightwell born in 1896 in Protem, Missouri.
Corbin is the Husband of Virgie M. Hughey, and Father of six children, and one adopted child. He owned and operated La Co Mo Art and Pottery Factory, with his wife and partner Virgie M. Hughey, which was located on South Highway 65, Hollister, Missouri until the 1970's.
He also was a farmer, raised cattle, and owned a trucking company with his wife, and partner Virgie.
His children also assisted in the everyday work of the various businesses .
His second marriage was to Lillian Gilbertson.
He retired from Wentz Sonnis , trucking business owner in Northwest Arkansas.
Cattleman past retirement he became disabled after an accident where he was hit by a Burlington Northern , St. Louis San Francisco Train in Northwest Arkansas.
Shortly after 10:00 a.m. on December 28, 1983, Corbin Clarkson was driving his pickup truck westbound on U.S. Highway 71 between Rogers and Bentonville, Arkansas. The highway is straight and level. Because the road was ice-covered, Clarkson was traveling between 20 and 30 miles per hour. Traveling eastbound and approaching Corbin was a semi-tractor trailer driven by Michael James Townsend for appellee. Townsend was driving at approximately 30 miles per hour. The semi-tractor trailer crossed the center line and traveled toward the north side of the road. The cab entered the ditch and the trailer jackknifed into the highway. The swinging trailer collided with Clarkson's pickup
