  1.   Hansel, Marion Fern. The family name of Hansel (Hentzel). (1959).

According to "HARSCH (HARSH) and ORWIG GENEALOGY", by James R. Harsch of Toledo, Ohio, Marie Barbara’s grandfather was thought to have been CONRAD HENRY HIRSCH, who around 1740 settled in Upper Salford Tp., Philadelphia Co. (now Montgomery Co.), Pa. Nothing is known relative to his wife. There were at least six children, they being Philip, Simon, Johanes, Lewis, Eva, and Anna Barbara. "Rupp’s 30,000 Names of Germans, etc." showed PHILIP HIRSCH, age 22, on Boat "SAMUEL" in 1739 (Johan Lorentz Hentzel on this same boat); also, Simon HIrsch, age 18, and Johanes Hirsch on Boat "LYDIA", arriving Philadelphia Sept. 27, 1740.
