Comfort went to New London where he had a brother, Samuel, already living about 1672. A year or two later he settled in Middletown, where his wife had a half-sister, Mary, the wife of Captain Daniel Harris.

   Comfort Starr "who died in Middletown in October last 1693" Inventory Taken December 1693 valued at £89, 8s, by William Cheeny, Samuel Collins and John Hall. His children and their ages are listed: Comfort, age 24 years, Joseph 17, Benjamin 15, Thomas 7, Daniel 4, Mary Starr 22, Hannah 20, Rachel 10. Mary Starr. Note the widow Marah (Weld) Starr was still living. Administration to Widow Marah. "Marah Star gave oath y this is a true presentment of the estate of her deceased husband...This court grants administration to ye deceased husbands Estate."
