NY Auditor General of the Public Accounts 1776-1781. In 1781 he joined his brothers Richardson and Joshua and Robert Morris in contracting to supply the northern army with provisions for 1782. He was in partnership with his brotherJoshua 1783-1794. Elected to the NY Assembly several times during this perio d. He was declared bankrupt in March 1801.
