Colin was a veteran of WW1, on September 23, 1914, just a month after the War was declared, he and his brother Donald arrived in Valcartier, Quebec to enlist in the CEF, They were part of the first continent to go overseas. He was 19, single, a jam maker. Colin stood 5' 5" tall, with a fair complexion, blue eyes, and light brown hair.
