             Clinton T. Askew, Jr.

Niantic, Conn. - Word has been received of the death of Clinton Thomas Askew, Jr., 82, of Niantic, Conn., anf formerly of Holland Patent, who died June 1, 2001. He married Anne Root on January 31, 1953 in Oswego. They resided in Oriskany for many years. She predeceased him in May 1988. Surviving are two daughters, Carol Askew of Niantic, Conn., and Mary(Paul) Perlmutter of Holland Patent; three sisters, Virginia Linton of Delmar, Marie Smith of Charlestown, Mass. and Jane Davis of Tulsa, Okla.; a brother, Edward Askew of Oswego; four grandchildren.
