Services for Climena D. Schaibly, 96, who died Sunday, December 29, at her home in Woodland after a long illness, were held at 1:30 Tuesday, December 31, at the Pickens Koops Chapel in Lake Odessa.
Rev. George Speas officiated with burial in Fuller Cemetery.
She was born March 23, 1878, in Woodland Township, the daughter of James and Elizabeth (Myers) Durkee. She was a life long resident of that area. She married Henry Schaibly on November 20, 1901. He died April 11, 1945. She was a member of the Woodbury United Brethren Church and the WCTU.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Hildred Hesterly of Woodland; three sons, Hobard (sic) of Bradenton, Fla; Kennard of Edmore and George of Woodland; a sister, Mrs. Hercie Tewksbury of Hastings; 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren.
