Clifford T. Walling, 54, a former resident of Muncie, died at 6:20 o'clock last evening at the Henry County Hospital in New Castle, after a four weeks' illness. He was a native of Muncie and was a member of a pioneer Muncie family. Mr. Walling, a tool maker at the Chrysler plant, was employed at one time at the Ball Machine Shop here. About six years ago he removed to New Castle, and had resided at 1631 Grand avenue, there. Mr. Walling had also worked in Panama.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Alberta Walling; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Hallett and Mildred Walling, both of New Castle; two brothers, Earl Walling of Balboa, Panama, and Loren A. Walling of Muncie; and a sister, Mrs. T.A. Deckert of Indianapolis.
Brief funeral services will be conducted at the residence in New Castle at 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, after which the body will be brought to the Meeks mortuary in this city where services will be held at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the residence this evening.
