Clayton Wheeler, former businessman and councilman
Clayton (Gates) Wheeler, 78, of White haven, died Friday at his home.
Born in White Haven, he was the son of the late Wilson and Anna (Shive) Wheeler and was a lifelong resident of the White Haven area.
He was a retired owner and operator of the former Wheeler Motors, White Haven, and a White Haven councilman for many years.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, White Haven.
He was a member of the Laurel Lodge, 467 Free and Accepted Masons, White Haven, and a 32nd degree Mason, Valley of Lehigh Consistory, Allentown.
Preceding him is death were brothers, Gerald, Harry and Lawrence.
Surviving are his wife, the former Florence Blakeslee; daughters, Donna Dotter and Shirley Hudock, both of White Haven; sister, Alma Clymer, White Haven; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today at 11 a.m. from the Joseph E. Lehman Funeral Home, 403 Berwick St., White Haven, with the Rev. Manuel Stivers officiating. Interment will be in the Laurel Cemetery, White Haven.
