Obituary: Merced Express, Saturday, Dec 6, 1919: Funeral services for the late Claude Wescott, who died in Fresno on Tuesday following an illness of serveral months, were held at the chapel of Welch & Co. Thursday afternoon. He was a native of Wisconsin and was aged 39 years. Surviving relatives are his widow, who was formerly Miss Hazel Lord of this city, two children, his mother, a sister and three brothers.

Obituary: Merced newspaper: "Deceased was born in Milwaukee in September, 1880, being 39 years of age. He is the son of the late Earl Wescott. His mother survives. Left to mourn....a sister Mrs. Nettie Jennings of Oakland, and three brothers, Herbert, in Honolulu; Lynn in Los Angeles, and Jay, in Chicago."
