Clara Thaxton

KANSAS -- Clara G Thaxton, 91, a resident of St. Catherine's Care Cente r, and formerly of CO Rd 5, Kansas, died at 12:55 p.m. Friday, June 21, 20 02, at the care center.

She was born Aug. 18, 1910, in Fostoria to Elmer and Sarah (Byers) Kisslin g. She married Wayne J Thaxton on June 21, 1931, in Risingsun, and he surv ives.

Also surviving are three sons, Carl of Fostoria; Glen and Dale, both of Ri singsun; two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Marilyn) Fillhart, Fostoria; Mrs. Norm an (Carolyn) Fry, Old Fort; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; a nd two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Paul; a brother, Ray Kissling; and a g randchild.

Mrs. Thaxton was a homemaker.

She was a member of Scott Trinity United Methodist Church, near Risingsun.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Harrold-Floriana Funer al Home, Fostoria, the Rev. Gus Christo-Baker officiating. Burial wi ll be in Liberty Cemetery, Liberty Twp Seneca CO.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the church or Bettsville EMS.
