Woods Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 23, at Huston Funeral Home for Clara E. Woods, 92, who died December 19 at Villa Cascade Care Center. Glenn Clifford officiated and burial followed at the Lebanon IOOF Cemetery. Born Clara Clifton on November 21, 1894, at Atwood, Kansas she was raised in Kansas. She married Embree C. Woods on February 8, 1912, in Clay Center, Nebraska. They lived there until coming to Lebanon in 1942. Mr. Woods died January 2, 1971, at Lebanon. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lebanon and the Gold Star Mothers of the American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving are four sons, Ralph Woods, Beaverton, Arthur Woods, Portland, and Stewart and Halbert Woods, both of Salem; four daughters, Esther Williamson of Stratton, Nebraska, Naomi Herman of Coffeen, Illinois, and Norma Hust and Ina Prince, both of Lebanon; 28 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lucille Spencer, and three sons, Lowell, Kenneth and Wilfred. References
