Research Notes

Marriage Date: 26 August 1848 or 14 Apr 1848 (?)

Listed as C.O. Martin on marriage license.

On son's 1942 Death Certificate [Jesse Harrison West] she is listed as Cincinnati Williams, b. Christian Co. as his mother.

On daughter, Mary Bell Tucker's death certificate (1925), she is listed as "Nat" Williams; "Nat" is written above the crossed out "Sinat" and that is what everyone called her was "Sinat" and sometimes "Nat"!

Son, John William West, died 06 May 1947 and on his death certificate "Mother's Name: Cincinnati Williams!"

She is often listed as Cincinnati O. West or C.O. West.

The long-time Todd Co., KY County Clerk (where William Ellis West and Cincinnati were married) was P.O. Martin. When the marriage record was entered it may have been just habit to enter "Martin" after the "C.O." or she had been married to a Martin or the children's informants in 1925, 1942 & 1947 were incorrect??????????
