References: 1. History indicates that Christopher Daugherty and his wife Martha (?nee) Daugherty migrated from Rockbridge, Augusta County, Virginia to Hardin County, Kentucky C1800. Christopher is supposed to have died in Hardin County, Kentucky on 29 September, 1808. His wife Martha lived until sometime after September 1824 because she witnessed and signed a marriage of one of her son's Cornelius Daugherty-II and a Miss Nancy Hundly on 4 September, 1824. The marriage document was also signed by one of Christopher's son's John Daugherty and Nancy Hundly's father Archibald Hundly. 2. The Early Kentucky Settlers, 1700s-1800s, Abstract of Early Kentucky Wills & Inventories, Hardin County, Book B it is stated that Daugherty, Christopher. Will dated Sept. 29, 1808. Submitted to the May Court 1811. Wife: Martha. Children mentioned but not named. Executor Wife. Witnesses: John Daugherty, Jesse Daugherty, John Watts. 3.
