Christian Rudolph suffers from bad penmanship. His name is recorded on two known occasions: his daughter Carrie's baptism record after her adoption into the Mann family and the 1857 MN Territorial Census in Hennepin Co. In neither case is the name clearly written.

There is a Gustave Rudolph who lived in the same area as Christian who may have been a relative, a brother or cousin. Gustave was from Saxony.
