Christian Farquharson Catanach was the first child of James Catanach and Christian Farquharson Sherrat. She was named after her maternal grandmother's sister, Christian Spring, the widow of the Farquharson laird of Finzean (a most prestigious connection for the family).

It is suspected that she may have died young, as she is not listed with the family in the 1819 or 1825 enumeration of all parish inhabitants, and no other records of her have been found.

    "James Catanach in Woodend and his wife Christian Sherrat had a daughter baptised named Christian Farquharson. Mr Robert Sherrat in Tillyfrusky and Shaw Catanach in the Forest witnesses." Note that the two witnesses are the child's grandfathers.
