Newspaper articles in the Belle Center Herald-Voice mention 2 suicide attempts by Chloe. The second attempt was fatal after she drank lye.

DIES AFTER DRINKING LYE. Bellefontaine, O., Sept. 7. — Mrs. Charles Zahller, forty years old, drank red' seal lye at her home in Ml. Victory, and died yesterday. A hus- and three little children are living.

I'm confused about the name "Charles Zahller" because Davis Covert Zahller was married to Chloe. The 1910 census in OH shows that Davis is a widow.
