Last Rites Held for C. L. Wilhite
Chauncy Leroy Wilhite, 49, owner of a wholesale nursery in Carlsbad and a well-known horticulturist, died in the Oceanside hospital Sunday night. Services were conducted at Berry's Mortuary yesterday at 2 p. m. and interment was in Ocean View Memorial Park.
Mr. White was born in El Cajon, and resided in Twin Oaks Valley before moving to Carlsbad a number of years ago. He was a World War I veteran and a member of vista post of the American Legion and Carlsbad post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. both posts assisted in the funeral rites.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Evelyn Wilhite and a daughter, Miss Joanne Wilhite, of Carlsbad; a brother, Raymond Wilhite, of Solana Beach, and his mother, Mrs. Katie Wilhite of Glendore.
