[Sordelet Family .FTW] Moved to Pueblo, CO 1902 Obituary Charles P. Sordelet, 80, Pueblo. Colo., a member of a pioneer Jefferson Township family, died recently. He was for many years associated with the Pfeiffer-Schlatter Hardware Company here and was a charter member of the Most Precious Blood Catholic Church here. Born in Jefferson Township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Sordelet, he moved to Colorado 45 years ago. He is survived by his wife, Isabelle, and two brothers, Edward A. Sordelet, Washington Township, and John B. Sordelet, Fort Wayne. FUNERAL HOMESordelet, Charles P. of 1414 E. Ninth St., February 27. Wayne, Ind. Member of St. Leanders Church and Pueblo council 557 Knights of Columbus. Service announcements later. OBITUARY 28 February 1947 CHARLES P. SORDELET IS CALLED BY DEATHCharles P. Sordelet of 1414 E. Ninth, died late Thursday. At the time of his retirement, May 1946, he was city inspector of Weights and Measures and had served in that capacity of 10 years. Prior to that time he was employed by the Pueblo Hardware Co. He was 80 years old in August and was born in Fort Wayne, Ind. He was a member of St. Leanders Church and Pueblo council 557 Knights of Columbus. The survivors are his widow, Mrs. Isabella Sordelet of the family home, three grandsons, Charles Sordelet, St. Louis, Mo., Paul Sordelet, Sacramento, Calif., and Francis Sordelet, Los Angeles, Calif. and brothers, Edwarda and John Sordelet, of Fort Wayne, Ind. Service announcements later. FUNERAL ANNOUNCEMENT 2 March 1947Charles P. Rosary recitation Sunday 4 p.m. funeral home chapel. Funeral Monday 8:30 a.m.. chapel. Requiem High mass St. Leander's church 9 a.m. Committal services at Roselawn Cemetery will be conducted by B.P.O. Elks Pueblo Lodge No. 90. Friends are invited to call at the chapel Sunday from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. Knights of Columbus, Pueblo Council No. 5578 are requested to attend services. CENSUS 1920 Pueblo Co., COCharles and his family lived at 903 East Fourth St. in Pueblo, CO. He was age 55, born in Indiana and was an Asst. Manager at a hardware store. His wife, Isabel was age 47, born in PA. His son, Byron, age 22, was born in Indiana and was working as an electrician for the street dept. Byron's wife, Viola, age 19, was born in CO and their son, Byron, Jr., age 11 months, was born in CO. References
