Charles C. Sellers was born 10 Aug 1831, in Parke County, Indiana, the son of Charles John SELLERS & Mary DENNY. He was a resident of Warren Township, Clinton County, Indiana, for more than fifty years. He and his wife had retired as usual about 8:30 and were talking when she noticed that he did not reply to her remarks. She arose and lit a lamp and was horrified to find him dying. His death was caused by heart failure. At his death he was 73 years, 7 months and 13 days old. In 1849 he moved to Clinton county where he resided until 1902, when he moved to Cutler. He married Miss Martha GRIFFIN in 1854.
He was buried in the "old cemetery north of Geetingsville" which is known as Wilson-Hyde Park Cemetery in Carroll County, Indiana, adjacent to Clinton County.
Survivors included Wife, Martha A. (GRIFFIN) SELLERS; three sons and three daughters; Eliza Jane Sellers, James Thomas Sellers, John C. Sellers, Mrs. John T. (Abigail A.) LUPER and Mrs. James W. (Nancy E.) HARMON.
