--- Colonel Charles SCARBURGH1,1 was born in 1643 in Accomack County, Virginia.

He died in 1702 in Accomack County, Virginia.  He had an estate probated

on OCT 6 1702 in Accomack County, Virginia. Charles graduated from Caius College, Cambridge, England in 1664 and, in 1701, was living in Pungoteague, Accomack county, Virginia. Charles's will was probated October 6, 1702 in Accomack county, Virginia. Most of the heirs of Colonel Charles Scarburgh and his wife Elizabeth Bennett were named in a deed of October 2, 1721 conveying all rights to "Bennett's Adventure" to George Dashiell of Somerset County (Somerset Co, MD, Deed Bk. IK, p. 192). See Adventurers of Purse and Person, p. 546.

Colonel Charles SCARBURGH was married to Elizabeth BENNETT about 1670 in Accomack County, Virginia. Elizabeth BENNETT was born about 1645 in Nansemound County, Virginia. She died in 1719 in Accomack County, Virginia. She had an estate probated on AUG 4 1719. She was buried in Scarburgh Graves, Evans Wharf, Accomack county, Virginia. III. Ann SCARBURGH was born in 1675 in Accomack County, Virginia. She died before 1719.

Ann SCARBURGH was married to Major George PARKER before 1701. Major George PARKER was born after 1651/52 in Onancock, Accomack county, Virginia. He died in 1724.

Mary SCARBURGH 2 was married to Edmund BAYLY after 1715. Edmund BAYLY was born about 1675. He died before APR 1718. He had an estate probated on APR 2 1718.

Mary SCARBURGH was married to Edmund LEATHERBURY after 1717. Edmund LEATHERBURY was born about 1675. He died in 1721.

Mary SCARBURGH was married to John MCCLESTER before 1722. John MCCLESTER was born about 1680.

VII. Sarah SCARBURGH was born about 1683 in Accomack County, Virginia. She died before 1728.

Sarah SCARBURGH was married to William BLACK after 1700. William's will was probated March 7, 1737/8 in Accomack county, Virginia. William Black, along with George "Kutler", were named trustees for Hugh Roberts' children in his will of November 3, 1720. Thomas Rose, age 33, left William Black a gold ring in his will of November 2, 1722. On November 1, 1723, William Black witnessed the will of Col. Tully Robinson. In his will, written June 10, 1728, William Black left his whole estate to his wife Margaret, who was also named executrix. Witnesses were Henry Bagwell, Delight Shield, William Nowell, William Haizlup, John Allen, John Bagwell, William Tazewell, Thomas Parramore (Acc Co Wills 1737-1743, p. 7). Evidently his first wife, Sarah Scarburgh, had died and he had remarried.

 William BLACK was born about 1679 in Dumfries, Scotland.  He died in 1738.

VIII. Tabitha SCARBURGH was born about 1685 in Accomack County, Virginia.

Tabitha SCARBURGH was married to John BAGWELL after 1700. John BAGWELL was born about 1680 in Accomack County, Virginia. He died in 1749 in Locustville, Accomack county, Virginia.
