Site numbered#4 on map: Village le Cadet--settled around 1720 by Charles & Marie (Bourque) Robichaud, grew to about ten homes. On 10 Aug 1755 Abijah Willard visited there (whose 1755 diary is one of the best information sources for these communities). He reported they came "to an old french mans house and their loged wher we was Kindly Entrtaind with milk and Buter."
On modern maps, the location is on a river, south of Highway 104 about 2 miles west of the intersection with 4, called "Great Village," corner of Wharf Road & Hwy. #2. Today the remains of the dykes and the Acadian pastureland can still be seen by following Wharf Road.
