Personal History

After his father succeeded to the earldom in 1862, Charles was styled Lord Worsley.

Upon the death of his father on 6 February 1875, Charles succeeded as Earl of Yarborough (4th, created 1837), and Baron Worsley of Apuldurcombe (4th, 1837), in the United Kingdom; and Baron Yarborough (5th, 1794), in Great Britain.
