Fostoria -- A Mass of Christian Burial for Charles Kessler Jr, 66, of 8 84 Columbus Ave., Fostoria, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. P atrick's Catholic Church, Bascom, the Rev. Art Niewiadomski officiating. B urial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-9 p.m. today and from 9-10:30 a.m. Tuesd ay at Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria. A Christian Wake service will be he ld at 8:45 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Kessler died at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2001 at Medical Colle ge of OH, Toledo. He was born Dec. 2, 1934 in Seneca CO to Charles and Hazel (Williams) Kess ler. He married Mary Ellen Podach on Feb. 5, 1955 at St. Wendelin Cathol ic Church, Fostoria, and she survives. Also surviving are two sons, Michael and Jacob, both of Fostoria; six daug hters, Mrs. Jerald (Susan) Tiell, Fostoria; Mrs. David (Jane) Gore, Chandl er, Ariz.; Mrs. Michael (Rosann) Arbogast, Mrs. Thomas (Deborah) Tiell, Mr s. Gregory (Diane) Arbogast, all of Tiffin; Mrs. Jeffrey (Marlene) Burn s, Arcadia; 26 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Geo rge of Republic; Raymond of New Riegel; Gerald of Fostoria; three sister s, Mrs. Robert (Martha) Haubert, Alvada; Rita Lafontaine and Annabelle Hem minger, both of New Riegel. He was preceded in death by a grandchild; a brother, Richard; an infant si ster, Norma Jean Kessler. Mr. Kessler retired in 1997 as the owner and operator of Kessler Electri c, Fostoria and Port Clinton, for more than 30 years. He was also a pork p roducer for more than 25 years. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bascom. He was a memb er of 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus Council 1197 and Eagles Club, bo th of Fostoria; and Moose Lodge, New Riegel. He was a member of Sene ca CO Farm Bureau and a former member of Nugents Yacht Club, Port Clinto n. Memorials may be made to Fostoria Relay for Life, the church or a chari ty of the donor's choice. |
