Hazel B Kessler, 94, formerly of 33 W Tiffin St, New Riegel, died at 4: 15 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2000, in the Ruffing Family Care Center, Tiffin .

She was born April 23, 1905, in Hancock CO to John E and Mary A (Filliate r) Williams. On Sept. 10, 1929, in St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Frenchtow n, she married Charles J Kessler Sr, who died March 16, 1957.

Surviving are four sons, George J Kessler of Republic, Charles Kessl er Jr of Fostoria, Raymond A Kessler of New Riegel and Gerald C Kessler, a lso of Fostoria; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Martha T) Haubert of Alvad a, Rita M Lafontaine and Annabelle M Heminger, both of New Riegel; a brot her, Paul L Williams of Fostoria; a sister, Clara Holman, also of Fostori a; 40 grandchildren, 104 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandch ildren.

Also preceding her in death were a son, Richard A Kessler; an infant daugh ter, Norma Jean; a grandson, Donald Lafontaine; a granddaughter, Teresa Ke ssler; three brothers, John, Gilbert and Clarence Williams; and three sist ers, Oleva Koch, Albertha Reinhart and Viola Tiell.

Mrs. Kessler, a member of the New Riegel American Legion Ladies Auxiliar y, retired in 1965 from the Ford CO in Fostoria, where she had been employ ed since 1948.

She also was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, its Rosary Altar So ciety and Women of the Moose, all of New Riegel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Peter Cathol ic Church, Alvada, with the Rev. Leonard Kistler C.PP.S and the Rev. Har ry Cavanaugh C.PP.S as con-celebrants. The rosary will be recited at the c hurch at 9:40 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in St. Boniface Parish Cemeter y, New Riegel.

Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Friday in the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostori a, where a Christian wake service will be at 4 p.m, Women of the Moose ser vices at 6 p.m, followed by American Legion Auxiliary services.

Memorials may be made to St. Boniface Church's Restoration Fund or a chari ty of the donor's choice
