Charles served a 6 month term in the War of 1812. He was discharged in Lewistown, state of New York around Dec 25 1812. Charles bought land in twp. 10, range 2 of the Holland Purchase, Genesee Co. NY in 1806. Lived there about 25 years. 1840 census: Oxford Twp., Coshocton Co. Ohio; 1850 census: Stark Co. IL It is believed that he died in a boat accident on a trip to Chicago IL.
