Daily Times-News, The Monday, October 19, 1970 CHARLES EDWARD GRAVES, 94, of Rt. 2, Efland, died Sunday night at 9 o'clock in a Durham rest home following a lengthy illness. A native of Alamance County, lie was the son of the late Rankin and Jane Payne GRAVES and the husband of the late Fannie Lee GRAVES. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs.. R.D. Syke of Mebane and Mrs.. Ann Johnson of Durham; three sons, Robert GRAVES of Mebane, James Graves of Rt. 2, Mebane, and Clem Graves of West Grove, Pa.: one sister Miss Velma GRAVES of Rt. 1 Mebane; and 17 grandchildren Final rites will be conducts Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock in Walker's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Donald Camp- bell, pastor of Hawfields Presbyterian Church, will officiate Burial will follow in Hawfields Presbyterian Church cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home through the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home to- night from 7 to 9 o'clock.
