Charles Daniel Gates, 80, of 3154 E. Enos Ave., a retired employee of A.W. Sikking Co., died at 5:30 a.m. Friday at Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Springfield, the son of John and Ella Lauchner Gates.
Surviving are one daughter, Miss DeVilla Gates, of Springfield; one brother, Robert, of St. Louis, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Burise and Mrs. Blanche Bergmann, both of Clearwater, Fla.
Services were at Ellinger-Kunz and Davis Funeral Home.
Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
