In Warren Co., IA book "Births through 1920, Clara M. Fleager is noted as the 10th child of this family, so 6 more sibling names are perhaps missing here. I have not conveniently found them all. Remember also that stillborn children were often not recorded (but the notice that Clara was #10 suggests that there were actually other living children).

Warren Co., IA Death Book misspelled his name as Chosles Flager and S. Hypes. There is also an error in the Warren Co., IA 1849-79 Marriages (Flagler & Sypes).
It appears that there is some need to be cautious about the accuracy of some Warren Co.,IA record books during these years. At least they show that something happened to people who are probably the same people as otherwise known at approximately these dates. Fortunately there are other records available. Records show Walter S., son born between 8 Jan 1876 and 24 May 1876; son Oliver born between 13 Apr 1871 and 28 and Jul 1874.

Records of Hewitt Cemetery show Andrew, hus. of Margaret, died 12 Sep 1869 age 56yr, 10m, 2d. At Warren Co., IA Historical Library is a copy of Charles Fleager will dated 3 Jan. 1914 that leaves everything of his estate to his wife, Susan and at her death everything would go equally to every one of his children then living and that the share to his deceased daughter Minnie should go to her daughter Alice Lee, minus $400 that had been given to Minnie. It was witnessed by A.V. Proudfoot and W. W. Olive. At Warren Co., IA Historical Library I found a Codicil to the will of Charles Fleager dated 1 June 1915 and witnessed by A.V. Proudfoot and W.A. Olive. It changed a section of his prior will of 3 June 1914 where he gave a portion of his estate to his grand daughter Alice Lee less $400 that would apparently have otherwise gone to her mother and his then deceased daughter Minnie Lee. It suggests that there was some riff over that money, apparently in relation to other grandchildren of Minnie Lee:Bennie Lee and May Thomas. However, the $400 debt of Minnie to his estate seems to remain deducted for the heirs of Minnie. 1 March 2005 Email via Warren Co., IA (IAWARREN-L@rootsweb.com) from Nancy Edwards (nsedwards@bellsouth.net querry on Charles Flager Lincoln Twp 1900 Census. She is interested mostly in Joel W. and Priscilla (Woods) Fleager. I replied for her to contact me directly 3 Mar 2005.
