Name spelled DAIGRE. He lived at Assumption. Deported to Massachusetts, some members of this family settled at Saint-Ours, in Que'bec. [Where did I find born in Beaubassin?] !CHILD-NAME-RESIDENCE: Name spelled DAIGRE on daughter Anne's birth record in Grand Pré, Acadia in 1738. Said they were "of Pisiquit." Charles in trying to escape his persecutors, sought refuge on Ile Saint Jean (Prince Edward Island). He was captured there and deported with his family to Saint Servan, in Brittany, in northern France. His son, Olivier died there around 1774. Charles & his wife had eight childern born in Pisiquit prior to deportation, and reestablished in Ille Saint Jean (PEI) after the capture of Louisbourg. They were deported to Saint Servan, Brittany, (Bretagne) in northern France. References
