Charles A. Crouse, 60, Well known hay packer, died at his home near Littlestown at 9 o'clock this morning of complications.
He was a son of the late David and Lucinda Crouse and was born in Maryland, but spent the greater part of his life in Adams County.
Surviving are the widow, whose maiden name was Miss Annie Motter, and the following sons and daughters.
Clarence Crouse, Columbia; Mrs. Ezra Hartman, Philadelphia; Hobson Crouse, Gettysburg; Maynard and Herbert Crouse, Both of Hanover; Robert Crouse, Littlestown; Mrs. Albert Repcha, Philadelphia, Walter Crouse, Littlestown; Paul Crouse, Columbia' George Crouse, Taneytown, and C. Woodrow, John and Lawrence Crouse, at home.
Nineteen grandchildren, one brother, Howard Crouse; one half brother, Wilson Crouse and on half sister, Mrs. Elwood Nusbaum both of Silver Run survive.
Brief funeral services from the home Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock with further services in St. Mary's Reformed Church, Silver Run, the Rev. A.OP.Bartholomew and the Rev. F.B. Peck Officiating. Interment in Union Cemetery, Silver Run.
