Stella M. Beckley has filed action for divorce from Charles E. Beckley, charging extreme cruelty and gross neglect of duty. The couple was married at Kilgore on October 10, 1907. They are the parents of nine children. Plaintiff asks divorce and permanent alimony. Glenn L. Fortune is attorney for Mrs. Beckley.

On Monday Judge cope issued a divorce decree in the case of Stella Beckley against Charles E. Beckley. The plaintiff was granted a divorce, custody of six minor children and allowed $3 per week for their support.

Charles Edward "Ed" Beckley, 74, a life resident of Kilgore, died Wednesday, August 29, in the home of his brother, James of Kilgore, with whom he had resided. He had been ill one week. Born September 12, 1887, in Kilgore, Mr. Beckley was a son of the late Levi and Ellen Catherine (Burrier) Beckley. He was a retired farmer and member of Kilgore Lutheran Church.
Surviving are two sons, Charles of Leesville and Jesse of Rt. 2, Scio; seven daughters, Mrs. Mary Erwin, Mrs. Odessa Bake and Mrs. Fay Buxton, all of Rt. 2, Scio, Mrs. Clara Randolph of Rt. 1, Bloomingdale, Ms. Dorothy Reninger of Rt. 1, Amsterdam, Miss Mildred Beckley of Carrollton and Mrs. Amelia Brooks of Scio; a brother, James, of Kilgore; 28 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Services were Sunday at the Allmon Funeral Home here with Rev. C. M. Hollensen officiating. Burial was in Kilgore Cemetery.
