His wife, Sadie is age 23 being born in Sep 1876 and is the mother of 4 children. The children are listed as Anna, age 5 born Jan 1895; Robert, age 3 born Jun 1896; Martha, age 2 born Feb 1898; and Charles, age 6 months born Dec 1899

1910 census-PA-Schuylkill-Ashland-Charles P[itman] Beck is listed as being 38 years old and married 16 years; he is a laborer in the collery. His wife, Sadie, is 33 and has had 6 children, all 6 are living. The children are listed as: Anna, age 15; Robert, age 14; Martha, age 12; Charles, Jr., age 10; Helen, age 8; and Harold, age 4. Everyone is born in Pennsylvania.

My problem with this information is that I have his birth date as 1866, however, the data on the census would show that he was born in 1872 - a 6 yr difference

The Ashland, PA "Evening Telegraph" obituary shows him to be Charles P. age 49 - giving him a birth date of 1867 and he is a mining engineer in the Philadelphia & Reading Coal & Iron Company at the Maple Hill colliery.

Charles died on Tuesday January 25th, 1916 at 3 a.m. at the state hospital at Fountain Springs from blood poisoning according to the obituary in that day's paper, The Evening Herald
