Amelia F. Lumsden married Charles Herbert ATKINS 2dec1900. A Mrs Atkins, probably Amelia, lived at Horning Vicarage, Norwich, Norfolkshire (family letters). Charles died 1954 at Happisborough, Norfolkshire (oneworldtree at ancestry.com)., Amelia died 7dec1954 at Manor House, Happisborough, Norfolk, wife of Rev. C. H. Atkins, late Vicar of Horning, formerly ICS, Punjab, superintending missionary at Tarntaran, Punjab (Times). After being in India (family letters), Charles was instituted to the vicarage of Horning, Norfolk bef 2feb1932, and resigned bef 3aug1946 (Times). Charles probably moved to Happisborough Manor between 1944 and 1946 (shipping records, I. Evans).

A Charles Herbert Atkins was born 11dec1870, son of Thomas ATKINS and Sophia BLACKWELL (oneworldtree) (?). I. Evans says this is wrong. Comparing the siblings in 1871, 1881 and 1901 census makes it clear that Thomas A. and Sophia did not have a child Charles Herbert, whereas John Atkins (b. 1842 Coventry, Warwicks.) and Sarah Grace Brown (b. 1841 Kent) did (census, bmd). John Atkins married Sarah Grace Brown 4th qtr 1865 at Coventry (bmd). Sarah Grace Atkins, aged 59, d. 4th qtr 1899 at Coventry (bmd); her father was a pork butcher (I. Evans). In 1871 John Atkins (1840 Coventry, clerk in ?Ritbue ?Hous), wife Sarah G. (1840 Woolwich, Kent), son Charles H. (1871) were at Coventry (census). In 1891 John Atkins (1842 Coventry), wife Sarah ?Grac (1842 Woolwich), son Charles Herbert (1871 Coventry) and other children were at Coventry (census).

In 1914 C.H. Atkins (1869, Indian civ ser), Mrs. Atkins (1873), sons Charles F. (1907), Oswald F. (1911) went to Bombay (ancestorsonboard).
