    Lucille B. Wallace, 96, a longtime Skagit Valley resident, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at the Life Care Center of Skagit Valley in Sedro-Woolley.

    She was born on April 1, 1913 in Barnard, Kansas, the daughter of Eugene & Anna (Murray) Crumrine.

    Lucille was first raised in Kansas until the family moved to Yakima, Washington for a while and finally settled in Mount Vernon.

    Lucille was united in marriage to Lloyd Taylor and they made their home and raised their family in Sedro-Woolley. Lloyd preceded her in death in 1972. In 1973 she married Robert "Bob" Wallace and they made their home in Burlington. He also preceded her in death in 1993.

    For many years Lucille worked as an L.P.N. at Northern State Hospital in Sedro-Woolley until its closure.

    Lucille enjoyed camping and fishing, plants and gardening. She was also a member of the Burlington Eagles.

    She is survived by her stepchildren, Virginia McCollum and her husband, Eldon, of Yreka, CA and Karen Wysk and her husband, Mike, of Sedro-Woolley. One brother, Ronald Crumrine and his wife Sheila of Boley, Oklahoma. Two sisters, Inez Brown of Monroe, WA and Lola Cecotti and her husband, Gino, of Sedro-Woolley. Two sisters-in-law, Nita Crumrine and Jackie Crumrine. A daughter-in-law, Liz Franca; her friend and roommate, Ruby Willis; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

    Besides her husbands, Lloyd and Bob, she was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, David, Don and Paul Crumrine; two sisters, Irma Wilhonen and Louise Burton and a stepson, Robert Wallace.

    The family would like to thank the staff of Life Care Center of Skagit Valley for the excellent and loving care. They also suggest that memorials be made to Meals on Wheels or the Allen United Methodist Church.

    A Life Celebration will be held at the Allen United Methodist Church at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 30, 2009 with Pastor Richard Hargis officiating. Private interment was at the Green Hills Memorial Cemetery in Burlington.

    Arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
